We regularly work with product designers to manufacture products to their design. We are unique in that we can utilise our very advanced 3D software, our laser scanning equipment and our experience in parametric design to create a workable and buildable design, with many then proceeding as products sold on the open market by our customers.
We are able to capture the physical environment in a number of ways through the use of our laser scanning technology which is linked to our screen to machine software, at the same time we are able to design using our software to meet a client’s brief.
Design is critical but our starting point if required, is to value engineer a design and see if there are material substitutions that are suitable or design changes that would improve it. This can be with a view to reducing production costs but equally could be to specify the correct material for a desired use.
Can a concept be built? A complex and multifaceted question which we can answer for you through design interrogation, and critical assessment from a manufacturing perspective. Our 3D software linked to our machines designs and checks for manufacturing issues / conflicts at the same time as optimising the material quantities for batch production.
Often a major element of business plans, the cost pricing for market price point assessment is critical detail that can underpin a product placement / market segment, it largely depends on material choice, buildability and the ability to optimise the design for multiple production runs.
